My earliest memorable long journey was Delhi and Agra. We were a dozen family members, me being the youngest (4th grader).
We took the Dadar-Amritsar express on the evening after Diwali in 1975. The train took nearly 36 hours to reach Delhi. I remember passing thru railway stations like Bhopal, Jhansi, Gwaliar and Mathura.
One day was spent in Delhi-Darshan and around. One day was spent in Agra (Taj Mahal) and Fatehpur Sikri.
Next two days were spent in Rishikesh and Haradwar. I believe we went to Mathura, but I can't remember much about it, except for the 'Pedha' I ate there.
We returned to Mumbai by Frontier Mail.

Need for a travel blog
Seriously, do I need a travel blog? I say yes. Not that I am a traveller like De Gama or Marco Polo. But I have travelled quite a bit. The other day, I sat down and asked myself, Where (on earth) have I travelled? Next thing came to my mind is: let's note it down. Or better yet, let's blog it up.
So, here we go.
Everyone has a travel personality. For example, some people travel for the sake of it. I am kind of a passive travel. I travel when I have to. I mean, I travel if there is a reason or purpose.
Coming up are some of my travel stories, if you will. I do not claim they are perfect, but I can certainly say, they are pretty accurate. I have constructed them out of my memory.
So, all aboard. Let the journey begin.
